Anti-War Protest.

Me and Mai headed out to the anti-war protest yesterday morning in Los Angeles. It was a gloomy, cold day, but I think I would rather march in that kind of weather than in the hot sun. It was a good turnout, although it was not as big as the one I went to 3 years ago.

After the protest, we were really hungry, so we went to that shopping center at the Kodak theater. Here I am, dressed in all black, with my bandanna still on, still holding my sign (picture of me and my sign below--so you can see how it may be just a little out of place). People were looking at us, well at me at least, like I was crazy. That place is full of boojeeness (another word for bourgeoisie), so of course we stood out. I was probably freaking some tourists out. As we were standing in front of California Pizza Kitchen and I was trying to explain to Mai that I can't be there looking like this, a security guard walks over to us. I knew he was going to tell me something. He said, "Ma'am, you're going to have to hold that sign upside down." And I told him, "Why? Because you don't want people to see the truth??" and he gave me a weird look. So I told Mai let's go, and we walked out of that place.

Upside down??? Seriously? Because people can't read or see something when it's upside down? Ridiculous. Luckily I did not want to eat or be at any of those places any way.

So here are some pictures and a couple of videos. I posted all the pictures on my Facebook and Myspace, so if you have me on there- check out the rest of the pics.:

You can get a glimpse of me at the very end.

The reason I posted this last video is because I liked the chant, it made me want to dance. =)

  1. omg, instead of laying down on the streets with all the sounds of bombings and air raids, we should of marched up the kodak theatre and laid down next to CPK LoL but yeh I'm glad we settled for Islands instead!
